This time, it was a bit different. We met up with friends at a local bar to remember our friend Jodi, who would have turned 50 on Friday. Losing her so suddenly last year was a tough reminder of how precious our time together really is. Her absence was deeply felt, but it was so good to spend quality time with friends. June is one of the best months to cruise Alaska, with warm days, extended daylight, and landscapes bursting with wildflowers. Wildlife is active, with whales, seals, and bears foraging along the shores. You'll also have some good humpback whale spotting as they glide into Alaska's Inside Passage. It's also the beginning of Salmon season on Creek Street in Ketchikan! They begin migrating to the ocean starting in late June and are what makes the Street so special, attracting nearby animals for thousands of years.
